Easter

UP FROM THE GRAVE HE AROSE!!! We had a lovely Easter. My parents, sister and Ollie were on their way to visit for the week after worshipping in their churches, so it was just the three of us Johnseys together for this year. We enjoyed the family time together nonetheless. We had a great time in the Lord's House, nice lunch at Slow-Charley's and of course, great naps that afternoon. The service we go to at First Baptist, Hickory, starts at 8:30 a.m. so the Easter egg hunting festivities had to wait until after church and after p's nap. It was in the 50's that day, so it was better in the afternoon to at least have the sun in the backyard to make it feel a little warmer. I'm terrible about taking pictures, so this is all I really got. I took video of P hunting eggs, but the neighbor's dog barked through the entire thing, so I won't post the video for you to also have to suffer through all the barking.

The visit with the fam was FAM-tastic! Pics from their visit are to come. We took all the pics with Mandy's camera, so I'll have to get her to share so I can post them.

just for you, mama!

it has been too long, i know! my precious mama keeps asking my sister to ask me to update the blog... so here you go, mama! since the move, i've not been very good about taking pictures, as you can see. the pics below are the only ones i've really taken of pratt in the two months we been in hickory.

for the record, we really are enjoying it here. i think we have finally found a church home... been doing a lot of praying over that one! right now it is just so important for us to find a good support system out of our church family. we're still praying over it all, but i think we may have found just what we need here.

walt is really enjoying work. the rest of the senior leadership team at the distribution center all seem to be really neat people. they are forming a good comoraderie; which is what i think walt misses the most about the DC in huntsville.

pratt is just growing like a weed. he is so much fun. of course, at 20 months he doesn't really understand the concept of getting a sibling soon, but we still talk to him about his little brother on the way. our newest addition will be here by july 23, if not before! oh the changes in our family!

i've been going to a mops group at a local church with some wonderful ladies who are becoming friends. we had a girls night out at the bowling alley last week. i came in second place with an 88 - unbelievable to have beaten anyone at bowling because i'm so bad, but sad to have almost one with just an 88! i've gotten to enjoy the little bit of family that is close in proximity. pratt and i made a trip last week to see my aunt bettye, cousin joy and her new baby, lily. we enjoyed the visit. pratt was very interested in miss lily, but didn't like for me to hold her.

my parents, mandy and ollie are coming to visit IN JUST TWO WEEKS!!!! i can't wait! for now, though, that is about all that is going on in our world. love and miss you all back in AL!

loves putting things on his head!

we're working on transitioning pratt into a toddler bed, which is in this room, but you can't see it in the picture. i left him in there for his nap and when i went to check on him, this is what i found! i've also found him on the floor asleep!

enjoying an 80 degree day. notice the flip flops! too cute!

look at these feet! walt is the biggest birkenstock fan - even though i've been told by my dear sister that they aren't in any more - he doesn't care. he wears them till they fall apart and then invests another pair. when i saw these on ebay, i had to get them for pratt. they are too big still, but i put them on him anyway because i love them so much!

donuts with dads

at pratt's mom's morning out last week, they had donuts with dads. so cute! pratt wanted nothing to do with the donut, surprisingly, but i think he liked having daddy at school with him.

Merry Christmas!

wishing you and your family a very merry christmas and happy new year...
